Good Friday is a day of mourning, and people are fasting and praying to the Lord. It is a day to commemorate the sacrifices of Jesus Christ. Church services are held from noon until 3 pm on this day and decorations are removed from the statues. The priests are dressed in black.
On Good Friday, Christians do not eat meat and traditionally the food they eat is hot buns. However, most people eat fish instead of meat. The reason fish are eaten is from the sea, which is why it is believed to be a type of meat. The shape of the fish was believed to be the secret symbols that Christians would identify with when their religion was banned. Many of those who followed Jesus Christ were also fishermen.
