world maritime day

The theme of World Maritime Day for the year is “Women’s Empowerment in Maritime Community”. In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, it provides an opportunity to raise awareness on the importance of gender equality and to highlight the important – yet unused – contribution of women in the maritime sector.

Women’s energy promotes growth and development, benefiting emerging economies around the world and all those working in the global maritime community towards safe, secure, clean and sustainable shipping.
